Beach Vibe Saturday

     There is no better feeling than getting that relaxation you finally deserve after such a tiring week. My corporate job drains me so much. When I get the chance to spend my days off in our province, I always make sure to spend some time at the beach. There is just something about the beach that gives me so much peace. The salty air, the sand, the sound of the waves, basically everything. What's not to love about going on beach dates?  

 

 

Lapyahan sa San Remigio - San Remigio, Northern Cebu City, Philippines
 

For today, we decided to visit The Lapyahan Sa San Remigio. Lapyahan is a Cebuano word that means shore or coast. San Remigio is a small town located in the northernmost part of Cebu City. It was an hour drive from our house.
 

San Juan Nepumoceno Church San Remigio
 
The San Juan Nepumoceno Church has a spacious parking lot at the back part of the church which offers free parking to both local and international guests. We parked our motorcycle here since it was safe and the trees provided shade for our vehicle. It was the perfect parking spot. If you are planning to go to Lapyahan sa San Remigio you could park here. It’s safe, and free!
 

Lapyahan Sa San Remigio Bucketlist
 
The Lapyahan Sa San Remigio definitely has a lot to offer. At night, there is a barbeque station and the food stalls will open as well. There are a lot of options to choose from the food stalls available. You can also rent a kayak or paddle board and even a banana boat if you want to. The local municipality made this a business since the beach entrance is free. You can be able to enjoy it here and save a lot on your budget.
 

 

Jacob loves the beach so much!
 
My son loves the beach as much as I do. He has slowly learned how to swim without being dependent on his life vest. A few of the many milestones my son has and I couldn’t be more proud.

He brought with him the new goggles he had bought specially for this day. I also think it is best to have goggles when going to swim on the beach because it will protect your child’s eyes from excessive seawater, and also, it will let him see what’s under the sea. It will cure his curiosity.

We brought our favorite drink and our favorite chips. It was the perfect snack while waiting for our food to be cooked.
 

 

 

 

 
Mr.Griller
 
My beau is grilling fish and pork for today’s lunch. He tastes the fish if it is cooked already. We did not bring so many kitchen utensils because I am too lazy to wash them after lol. We made use of what we found in our surroundings. The leaves served as our serving plate. It was eco-friendly and washing detergent-friendly as well. Hahaha!
 

 

 
Lunch is Served!
 
Have you wondered why grilled foods are ten times more delicious when eaten at the beach? I don’t know as well but when going to the beach, the best foods to prepare are the grilled ones. It definitely is the best. Today, we had grilled fish and grilled pork. We grilled a fish we Cebuanos locally call ”katambak”. or the Trumpet Emperor Fish. It tastes so good. This lunch is perfect. But where’s the soda? As much as possible, we make sure to lessen our soft drinks intake so we brought our personal tumbler and brought water. The best lunch indeed!
 

 

 
Happy Faces
 
We did not have a tripod and we had no one to ask to take a photo of us so we had to do it on our own way and taking a selfie is the best option that we have. Big smiles and happy faces after having such a sumptuous lunch.
 

 

 

My Beach Buddies
 

These two have always been my best buddies and we have been to a lot of beaches and resorts all over North.
Hopefully, on our next days off, we could visit another new beach resort and be able to explore and go on adventures. We are looking forward to our next beach adventure!

Lessons to Ponder from Today’s Beach Trip:
 
• Never be too hard on yourself. It is important to hustle hard but we must never forget to spend time for ourselves and our loved ones.

• Enjoyment does not have to be that costly, there are some budget-friendly options to choose from to save money, time, and effort.
 
• It is very important that we appreciate everything that life offers us because we have this life that is only given once and once is enough if we spend it wisely.

• Always make time for your children because they are not getting any younger and you may be missing out on a lot about their lives but as parents, we must make sure to fill their memory banks with many good memories they will ponder until they get old.
