Flash Fiction Story for the ZapFic Monday Challenge - Prompt: Knit

Hey Guys,

Another Monday has arrived and with it our weekly Flash Fiction challenge.
I for one am always excited to participate, because it is a great and quick way to start the writing week and to get the brain juices flowing :o).

I'm thankful for this opportunity to learn and hone my skills in this aspect of writing, that still is new and somewhat foreign to me.

As a writer you want your story to spread out and get bigger with each idea you have.
Flash fiction is a distilled story with many possibilities of interpretation, which is a fantastic aspect of storytelling that is underutilized in many works of fiction.

Those writers should try and join our weekly ZapFic Challenge :o).

Let's see, if I had an idea.

McGregor's superior had given him the most important task in his career.
Infiltrating a group of radicals who wanted to overthrow the government.
But soon enough he found out, that these radicals were only a tight-knit community of preppers.
