Hello to the Hopians and welcome to my New post.

In this post i am going to talk about the three main Components in the Field of Information Security.

CONFIDENTIALITY , INTEGRITY AND AVAILABILITY. (CIA)

Let's Begin with the Concept and a short discussion upon Confidentiality:

CONFIDENTIALITY :

Confidentiality refers to the concept of protecting the information, data that can only be accessed by you or by those to whom you have provided access. No other parties should be accessing that data as that would disturb and destroy the concepts of Confidentiality.

A failure to maintain confidentiality is commonly said or known as a Breach. A breach once occurred can't be rectified. It is as if you are saying that your records were published on a public website and people have seen your data! Now you are working to erase that data from their memory, computers, notes etc! That's Impossible to do so!

Integrity :

Integration in Information Security alludes to assuring or confirming the uniqueness of data— also that the data isn't changed or modified/disturbed. It also assures the fact that the source of the information is authentic. The alteration in the data, the alteration that you did not authorize and that causes your customers. Suppose you kept the price of a Tin as $1 but your data was altered by an attack and price was altered to $0.1. How would you tackle that? This would lead you to a failure of Integrity.

Availability :

Availability is termed to as the activeness of the organization, individual or a service. The attack on availability is done when the upper two goals could not be breached or successfully attacked. To break this goal, the attacker may send DOS attacks or different sort of attacks that may lead to service breakdown or bring down the server and other issues.
