Is It Possessed? - February 4, 2025 @goldenoakfarm

On Tuesday morning, I kept checking to see if the session with John Kempf had been posted. I got my post up, then got a shower and got a load of laundry going. It ran fine. When it finished I put it in the dryer and got the 2nd load washing. It washed fine, drained, spun, filled and rinsed, then drained. Then I heard thunking noises, not alarming as it’s been making odd noises, and then silence. Hmmmm…

So I went in, turned the dial, pushed it on and off, nothing. I tried all the cycles. Nothing. So I turned it back to the very edge of the cycle we usually use, pushed it on, and it started to fill. Well, okay!

It’s a mechanical washer so not a lot of electronics to go wrong, which is why we’ve been fooling with it for so long.

So I waited for it to fill and start agitating, nothing. So I walked away and messaged the contractor that the washer had died.

I decided to pay bills if I couldn’t do laundry. After checking again (for the zillionth time) to see if the John Kempf session had posted yet, I’m sitting in the office paying bills when 15 minutes later, I hear the washer start up and start spinning just fine…Hmmmmm…

So I messaged the contractor what had happened. When the dryer finished, I changed over the load and put the last one in to wash. It ran just fine. Hmmmm…

My helper friend had just arrived and he said, “Is it possessed? A poltergeist?” Well, that brought to mind all the VERY weird things that happened in the year following my husband’s death in 2020. There hadn’t been any for quite a long while. Hmmmm…

He had been in the process of repairing it when he went into hospital…

So I sent my helper friend out shopping while I continued to pay bills and check the website to see if the session posted.

Last week my helper friend had gotten me some big beautiful persimmons. Two of them were starting to go bad, so when he got back he took all of them and made me a big bowl of persimmon pudding. I had to take this much off the top of the bowl as it was brimming over.

Next he and I, but mostly he, set to work cleaning and re-seasoning all the cast iron cookware. He also cleaned the area around it.

When he left just after noontime, I gave up paying bills, or having the session posted, and decided to transcribe my poorly written notes, just in case the session was posted.

I got about 5 pages.

I then went out and got a load of dishes in the dishwasher, and later in the afternoon, a second one. But mostly I sat and rested and watched an old movie, “Bells on their Toes”.

On Wednesday, I need to finish cleaning the kitchen, the laundry, paying bills, and I hope I will be transcribing the session. I have PT in late afternoon.
