Hurtling!

That's my word of the week, hurtle. I have been hurtling everywhere, living my life in fifteen minute blocks. It's amazing how being reduced from three vehicles to one made such an impact in my life, but it did, because we are very, very busy people.
Some of you, and perhaps all of you, are probably wondering what I am yammering on about. Well, since the boy hit deer number four this past Friday and the Taco (his Toyota pickup) had to go the the car hospital, well, we are just down to Rufus, our gigantic pickup since the boy also totaled my car on deer one back in January. Now, my new job that I start this summer/fall comes with two pickups, so I really don't want to go buy a car that I am not going to use or need since the boy ships out with the Navy in July. However, until the boy graduates on June 3rd, he still has to get to work five days a week as he is in a half work, half school sort of program.
Add in the hub's coaching and rifle program responsibilities, life in general, and things like the boy has to check in with the Navy at the Hayden recruiting office on occasion, and let's just say that one vehicle isn't going to cut it, especially not one the size and girth of Rufus. A commuter vehicle he is not.
So, I did the only logical thing, I rented a car for the week to hurtle around in while the Taco gets repaired.
It's been interesting.
Because of course literally EVERYTHING decided to happen, come due, needed attending to, or broke this week. Ugh.
So, I have been practicing those DBT skills I am learning a lot. Emotional Regulation anyone?
Overall though, I am coping quite well, as I chose to adopt an adventure mindset. It has been an adventure, but since I have missed driving it's not been so bad.
Just remind me I said that when I have to get up 3AM Sunday morning to go get the boy from work...
In between all of the hurtling I have been attending to things like plant start transplanting, yard and farm maintenance, and spring chores. It's kinda been hard to get to it all, but I figure I will catch up a bit next week, and thankfully, I only have a few weeks of school left! YAY!
But for now, now I am going to hurtle off again, I have a meeting with two nursing students in a few to coordinate a care plan for a patient, not to mention I have to hop in my trust borrowed Toyota Corolla and drive the boy to work. There's not a moment unaccounted for or to spare!
TO MOMMING!
