Something different

My weekends are important, they're the break I need to have between one week and the next in which I can forget the last for a couple days and ignore the next for a while at least. That's not to say the working week isn't good, it's just more dedicated to commitments ( my own and my organisations') than it is to the simple, and glorious, pursuit of my own (and partner's) happiness and enjoyment. On the weekends though, we are the priority.

We have a few things planned this weekend with one of them being quite different to most typical weekends; not something we haven't done before, but something we don't do often, and we're looking forward to it. Of course, what makes it even better is that this weekend is a long weekend due to it being Australia Day; I love Monday's off work. Yay for public holidays!

I'm not going to share that different thing we're doing just yet and may never share it because I don't like to put everything out there on the internet for strangers...but maybe down the track I'll write a post and share the (hopefully really good) photos I get.

What I'm happy to share is some music I've listened to over the week as part of the #saturdayselections music concept that popped up in my Weekend Engagement community a while back. It's not a popular concept but I like the idea of it so have done a couple of them myself.

Over the week I've listened to a lot of tracks from one of my favourite artists, Florida Georgia Line. I didn't listen to them exclusively but they got a lot of action on my speakers so it made sense to share some in this post. If you don't like country music then don't listen, and if you listen and don't like the music that's on you not me; I don't care if you like it or not.
