Opening My First Bowling Alley... And Immediately Messing It Up 😅

Hey, hey, gamers! It's Tuesday, so right in time for some new thoughts about a game I discovered recently!
As I already mentioned in the previous posts, lately I find myself more invested in simulator games rather than story-driven ones, so with the occasion of seeing plenty of demos available to try before actually purchasing the gamess, I thought I'd finally give a try to some of them!
This time, the game that caught my attention was a fairly recent game that was released on Steam (14 Jul, 2026), called Bowling Alley Simulator.
Now, as a person who never stepped on a bowling alley or had the experience to play some in real life, it made a good excuse to be really impatient to find out how this one is. Sadly, for not having real-life experience with this activity, I can't properly form an opinion on whether it's close to reality or not, but I still ended up enjoying a couple of hours playing it.

This starts as an abandoned business where you play as the nephew of the previous owner that frequently gives calls to guide you up along the game.
Although the title suggests it's a bowling game, I figured out pretty quickly that bowling is actually the last activity in this game because you'll notice there are a lot of other tasks one needs to look after, such as renting shoes, fixing the blocked lanes, cooking food, cleaning up the bathrooms, taking out the trash and doing the restocks, to name a few.
As a person who played other games where I've had to deal with stocks, cooking or being a cashier, it felt pretty familiar from the very first minutes spent in this game, but I am still not sure whether it's a good or bad thing since some people might expect more activity on the bowling alley rather than around it.

Happily, the shop items are quite many, which makes the game stay away from becoming boring or repetitive too soon. But only a few of them are actually available in the demo version.

A situation that I encountered pretty soon, though, was having more people ask for the same shoe size, which made me run out of the right sizes pretty quickly and be forced to either decline them or give the wrong shoe size.
The good part is that there is not much to suffer from this action other than a mediocre review received at the end of the day, but you'll still receive the money asked for renting the line to those people. And as a person who doesn't care much about feedback, it was easy to forget about this step, lol.

Just as any other simulator which follows its course, there are also plenty of new things to unlock at each level in this game, such as getting more shoes to rent, vending machines, more drink and food options at the bar, as well as more bowling balls that obviously make the business be visited by more clients.
What I didn't really like, though, was the pace of the game, which felt a bit too fast at times, such as having too many clients come at the bar at once who, sadly, don't wait long enough and simply turn around and leave.
Don't get me wrong, I am used to playing simulator games, and I often hear that I play them way too fast and don't enjoy what they have to offer, but the fact that even so it seems way too fast also for me, there must have been a lack of calibration in the game.
I also played this 2 days after its official release, so the issue might as well just have been fixed by now, but overall it felt like one hour well spent trying out a new game.
Did you play Bowling Alley Simulator before?
