More lottery propaganda in the news. What is going on here?

A fool and his money are quickly parted, or something along those lines is how the saying goes and I am, in case you couldn't tell, vehemently opposed to the existence of government lottery programs.
The government lies to us about just about everything and they lecture us on not having enough savings, not being good with financial planning, and many other things... but at the same time they offer an easily accessible theft of the common man's money at basically every single convenience store in America.

this is unrelated but did you know there are prank fake lottery tickets that are all winners? What a great way to really piss off a friend or loved one!
So lately, I have been noticing a lot of things happening in the news cycle. On one side there are constant doom and gloom stories about how almost nobody has enough money to retire (I don't believe you, news!) and how the price of everything is going up (more propaganda for the most part) but at the same time the news cycle is increasingly featuring stories about people winning the lottery and they are now starting to do it in a tricky way that seems subliminal and more of an advertisement than it is actual news. I question if the winners they keep referring to are even real, or if they are real whether or not the stories about them are.

Stanley is about to have a ton of relatives and friends that he hasn't spoken to in years invite him over for dinner!
So the story
is that there is this guy in North Carolina that doesn't normally play the lottery and was arguing with friends about how it is a stupid idea with odds not in the favor of the players... you know, just like I and most other sensible people are going to try to tell anyone. He even says that the day of the purchase he wasn't going to do it but at the last minute decided that "it's only $3!" and bought it anyway.Well wouldn't you know it, Stanley ended up winning $150,000 and if you just throw caution to the wind and spend "just $3" the same thing will happen for you! or at least that is what these stupid articles praising the lottery are attempting to convey if you ask me.
I believe that the news, almost all news, is pure propaganda and is owned by the same people that attempt to sway public opinion in government. They are all in the same gang and everything they bring to us is meant to condition us or to attempt to make us feel a certain way. This barrage of stories celebrating lotto winners have picked up a great deal in the past 6 months and even though this information would likely be carefully guarded, I suspect it is because of the fact that there has been a big decline in the amount of people that are playing the lottery.
Think about other things the government in lockstep with news outlets has attempted to convince us of in the past and then think to yourself "are they maybe trying to fool me about this as well?" Why all of a sudden are there a ton of stories about lottery winners when in years past there were very few stories about this at all? I don't think it is a coincidence.
I have a deep distrust of the news especially the MSM but I think this deception extends all the way down the line to smaller organizations as well. I did dedicate a vast majority of my content into attempting to expose horrible reporting after all.
I don't play the lottery and the people that I do know that play the lottery are financial donuts as well. I do know one person who won $50,000 on a scratch ticket once and within a month all of that money was gone. This was a woman who doesn't make that much money in a year as well.
If you played the lottery and won, good for you... But I bet that this money is long spent as well because that is the case for nearly all winners and it is a crazy phenomenon.
The game is rigged against you and when people stop playing, what better way to get them playing again than to get the news stations involved in making it look like a light-hearted and cheap fun way for everyone to win?
