What the Darkness Tastes like...

There's a condition in the medical world called synesthesia...
Well, is it really a condition?
It's more like a super power I would say...
It's when your 5 senses or maybe 2 of them are all jumbled up...
You begin to see sounds, and/or hear Colors...
Someone with synesthesia might say that the color blue tastes like mint...
But this post isn't about synesthesia...
It's about the prompt on the medhive community...
As a proper Nigerian... There are some things we need to check first...
If I was to go without sight for a day without prior notice... That would be a disaster...
Because as a doctor, your life is life African salad...
Plenty varieties of vegetables, but with pepper taking the high table...
But I want to believe that I would have to give informed consent before this prank can begin...
That means I would have time to sort out somethings...
It would be pretty simple for me actually...
I am this kinda guy that would just lie down and plug my ear with podcasts...
I can do that hours unend, without food...
Maybe, I'll need to get some water, but that will not be a problem, I can navigate my house with my eyes closed...
So, I would probably just arrange a day off, put my phone fully charged by my bed...
Probably keep a tank of water and a cup beside me...
And then we begin the journey the next day...
Listening to podcasts all day and all night...
I will confess that it's going to be a hard one to do, more because, I would probably spend more time sleeping than I will listening to what is being said...
No need to bore you with the details of why...
But that is it...
Am I a nerd?
Maybe... People have said it to me a million times...
But I am happy that way...
I hopé you are not angry that I didn't take you through all the details...
If I were to do it, it would probably look like this...
6am- wake up... Pray
8am- plug ears, listen...
9am_ listening... Taking a nap in the middle...
12pm..._ discombobulated... Lost sense of in time or place...is this heaven?
I do not want to go on...
But as much as it would be a boring 24hrs for me, it would also give me time to consider some things...
What would it feel like to be deprived of visual sensory input for 24hrs.?
What is the darkness going to feel like?
What would it taste like?
Maybe if I had synesthesia, I would know...
But alas, I haven't got any superpower... Except the ability to catch a snooze anywhere...
