First Carnival parade with my son and niece Eng-Esp

Carnival is here and with it, all the joy and fun that characterizes it. Undoubtedly, this is a time that children love. My son loves costumes and my niece Camila is not far behind.
Today I want to share with you the first Carnival parade that the kids participated in this year. This was a parade that was held in our Municipality to celebrate 148 years since the elevation of Villa to City of Ejido, in my beloved state of Merida.
Llegó el carnaval y con él, toda la alegría y la diversión que lo caracteriza. Sin duda, esta es una época que los niños aman. A mi hijo le encantan los disfraces y mi sobrina Camila no se queda atrás.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el primer desfile de Carnaval en que los niños participaron este año. Este fue un desfile que se celebró en nuestro Municipio por celebrarse 148 años desde la elevación de Villa a Ciudad de Ejido, en mi querido estado Mérida.
The preschool where the children study was invited to participate along with other educational institutions, the theme they chose for the comparsa, was about myths and legends, and among the myths we hear in this area of the world, is that of Witches and Drones, a somewhat terrifying and also fun theme. At first, I hesitated to participate, I didn't have a costume that related, but my niece's grandmother, gave the costume to the two children, and then we prepared for a day full of magic and fantasy.
El preescolar donde estudian los niños fue invitado a participar junto a otras instituciones educativas, el tema que eligieron para la comparsa, era sobre los mitos y leyendas, y entre los mitos que escuchamos en esta zona del mundo, está el de las Brujas y Zánganos, un tema algo terrorífico y también divertido. Al principio, dudé en participar, no tenía un disfraz que se relacionara, pero la abuela de mi sobrina, le regaló el traje a los dos niños, y entonces nos preparamos para un día lleno de magia y fantasía.
Angel, at first, didn't like that mask at all and actually neither did I, but it's great for Halloween, but little by little, between games and jokes, he got more and more excited. When we arrived, they were surprised to see everyone in their costumes and, of course, they felt more confident.

The parade started and the children had a great time. The teachers did their best to make them enjoy the ride. The weather was perfect, it was not sunny, so it was a very cool morning.
Comenzó el desfile y los niños se divirtieron mucho. Las profesoras se esmeraron en hacer que ellos disfrutaran el trayecto. El clima estuvo perfecto, no estaba soleado, así que fue una mañana muy fresca.
Halfway through the ride, Angel wanted to get out and watch the parade, he wanted to see the marching bands and the rest of the comparsas. So when we had the chance, we quietly slipped away and set out to enjoy the rest of the parade. At the end, I took them out for ice cream.

They both behaved excellently, we enjoyed the morning and as if that wasn't enough, they asked me to stay and play in a square before going home. They returned home happy and eager to continue playing. I loved this day, because I shared in a different and beautiful way with my son and my niece.
Los dos se portaron excelentemente, disfrutamos de la mañana y como si fuera poco, me pidieron que nos quedáramos jugando en una plaza antes de volver a casa. Volvieron a casa felices y con muchas ganas de seguir jugando. Me encanto este día, porque compartí de una manera diferente y bonita con mi hijo y mi sobrina.
This was the first activity at the school on the occasion of carnival. Now we can enjoy a mini vacation. I wish you all a long weekend of rest, fun and many beautiful moments with the family.
