Beersaturday beer bringing back memories

First of all Hive beer fans an apology for not being about for a few weeks but I’m back now.
The Other day I took @scubahead back up country and as usual we stopped off at the Gloucester motorway services on the M5

As Services go it’s one of the better ones with a huge farm shop and oddly enough a great beer selection.

It was a bit of a surprise to To see beers from the Prescott brewery named after them famous hill climb among the selection, this brought back some memory’s as back in the late 70s I did my hill climb school day for my MSA Race Licence there so I really had to pick up a bottle for old time sake.

Hill Climb is 3.8% ABV light pale ale so not too strong and very easy drinking and refreshing.

Based in Cheltenham Prescott Ales has a good selection of Ales including Stouts, IPA, Golden Ales and Ambers I wouldn’t mind trying a few of their other beers out but I think I’ll get them direct from the brewery as the services prices are rather more expensive than the direct price. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hill Climb pours very well with a nice head with a pale straw colour. According to their website it a mix of IPA. Cascade and Bobeck hops combined with Maris otter pale malt.

So there you have it Hovers bit of a nostalgia kick and not a bad beer.
