Simple Goals, Real Growth: My 2026 Plan

When a new year enter, the first thing that comes to my mind is goals. I don’t mean those heavy social media goals like buying a car by March or becoming millionaire before June. I mean the quiet goals that make a person better inside and outside. My parents always tell me that life is built step by step, not jump by jump, so this 2026 I am trying to follow that mindset.

My first goal for 2026 is to build discipline. Discipline to wake up when I need to, to stop procrastinating anyhow, to do things even when I don’t feel like it. My father always say, “You don’t need to like something before you do it, you just need to know why.” In the past, I used to wait for motivation, but motivation go and come like NEPA light. So this year I want to practice consistency more.

Another goal is financial sense. I want to manage money better. In 2025 I wasted money on small small nonsense that didn’t add value. My parents raised us with little but they knew how to stretch it. So in 2026, I want to save little, spend wisely, and cut unnecessary showing off. Even if I only save small, at least it is a start. One day, small becomes big.

I also want to grow mentally and emotionally. Sometimes I take things too personal or I stress myself with what I cannot control. My mother taught me that peace of mind is better than loud success, and honestly I believe her now more than before. So in 2026, I want to forgive faster, complain less and be more grateful. It is not easy to change old habits, but I am willing to learn.

Another important goal is self-improvement. Learning new skills, reading more, and improving how I talk and relate with people. My parents always say that anywhere you go, your character enters before your certificate. So character development is part of this year goals.

Lastly, I want to take care of my health, both body and mind. Rest when I need to rest, drink water, sleep better, exercise small small. Life is not enjoyment alone, but you cannot enjoy life without health.

2026 for me is not about perfection, it is about progress. Slow progress is still progress, and that is enough for me this year.
