Binance Meet Up May 10th

Next weekend I will be attending the Binance Johannesburg meet up which should be fun and interesting hopefully meeting like minded people in crypto. I know no one locally personally who is involved in crypto and this is something I could not pass up. Those who I know involved in crypto personally are those who I have helped invest and stake so they do not really count as they cannot teach me anything new and rather rely on myself for information and help. I was going to skip this when I saw the invite, but being involved in crypto for over 7 years there is always the chance you can learn something new. Crypto is about knowledge and most of this is self taught and the learning never stops.
With the new deposit and withdrawal laws for Binance having changed for South Africans today it should be a good listen. This change was expected and I have been looking at ways to bypass this and will not be adding to this discussion giving them other ideas to block. One has to think and believe someone is advising the tax man and who says they won't be attending.
Finding out what others are thinking and doing may open up some fresh ideas and do not expect to learn very much if I am truly honest. The majority of crypto holders know very little about their investments and very doubtful anyone is growing their stake by being active on a blockchain like HIVE.
What we do on HIVE is not normal as we live and breathe our investment by staying active and consistent. Most crypto people deposit FIAT and purchase crypto tokens then leave them on exchanges like Binance hoping for the price to rise and know nothing else. What we do is so far out there and by being fully involved on a blockchain understanding how things work our crypto knowledge is that much greater than the average crypto investor.
Maybe there is a chance to use this as a recruiting exercise and at least try ad get a few people to join HIVE. I have given up on people I know so there is no harm trying a cold sale on people you do not know.
I think I am more curious to see how many people will be attending and if the numbers of crypto investors are up like we hear on social media and so called surveys as I do have my doubts. My head says the meet up will have less than 100 and this could be way out with under 40 (expected) or many hundreds. I have seen photos of Binance meet ups elsewhere in the past with only like 10 people in attendance so you can understand where my head is.
The upside to all of this is I get an easy pass for a HIVE post which I will publish on the 10th May and share any information that I may have learned which I hope is the case.
