Hello Hive gaming community! I play free to play games on Hive. One of the games I play, Runik Conquest suddenly went offline and I can't access it anymore. It's a pity I already have a high level castle and gears. I'm starting to build an army to really enjoy the game when it went offline. Good thing I discovered two new free to play games. One is on discord, Pirate Saga that led me to another game on Hive called Dungeon Cities.

Pirate Saga

Pirate Saga is played on discord but it also has an accompanying game on Hive. The website can be accessed here.

Players have to buy packs to play the game. The game on discord is free to play. You will have to pay one swap.hive to activate the game but it will be refunded by @thorlock. Pirate Saga is a basic text based game. Players have four roles to choose from and each role has a basic and special commands. Pirates can earn LOOT tokens, materials and gain experience when running missions. Once experience and materials are met, the ships can be upgraded and more commands will be available.

Dungeon Cities

Dungeon Cities looks like a game built for mobile judging from its interface. Players start in the city of Aldoria and will need a key that cost $5. The key can be obtained for free by using @thorlock's reference.

You will receive the key in your inventory then you can start your adventure in Dungeon Cities. There is a tutorial in the game to get you started. Your main rooms will be the Guild Hall and Dungeon.

Get quests from the board in the guild hall like kill five kobolds then go to the dungeon to hunt for them.

Players can earn experience, items, equipment and drubble tokens. Drubble tokens are traded on hive-engine. I use the drubble I got to level up my hero and buy weapons.

The game is fun that reminds me of dungeon crawler games like Diablo. In dungeon crawler games, it's important to manage inventory and this is one paywall that I see in this game. There are only ten inventory slots at the start so I had to throw away a lot of items and equipments. One can expand inventory by buying bags but its expensive. Bags can only be bought with DCD equivalent to 1 HBD. The cheapest cost 2 DCD which will add five slots.

The most expensive bag cost 745 DCD which I find insane.

I read in the discord that its possible to increase inventory slots when upgrading the hero so I'll have to find out when I level up mine.

Both games can be played for free and brings back the experience of text based games I played before. If you're not in a hurry, then play it for free but if you want progress faster, then you can buy their tokens and spend them in the game to level up.
