Welcome to @creativeworkhour, the Three Tune Tuesday Edition!✨

Everyday during the Co-Working Sessions of Creative Work Hour and the second hour, Practice Not Perfect, we run music conducive to enhancing cognitive flow. Neuroscience shows us that flow is a diminishing resource over time, so we design a break between the first and second hour sessions. After a fun break, we get back to work.

Our "in-house radio stations" provide a more rock-n-roll or pop music stretch break between these two sessions. Because we are such an international crew, our station has two sets of call letters. Taking inspiration from the American radio stations, we have KCWH. Inspired by the British radio programming, we have BBCWH Radio 1.

Our Picks Make Writers Out to Be Heroes! 🦸 🦸🏽‍♀️

1. "Paperback Writer" (1966) by The Beatles

Paperback Writer is a declarative song in the voice of a writer who thinks they got game and expect to be paid to crank out paperback fiction. The Beatles made it cool to write songs about creative work and created a character who pitched their writing to an established publisher for good money.

2. "Everyday I Write The Book" (1983) by Elvis Costello

Everyday I Write the Book is a love song disguised as a daily work practice, written for those of us who return to the page every day, whether we're feeling it or not.

3. "Dancing In The Dark" (1984) by Bruce Springsteen

Dancing in the Dark is a song that speaks to us writers that keep coming up with goose egg, nothin', or precisely nada. It suggests that by allowing ourselves to be stuck, restless, and frustrated we may just trip across the breakthrough we've been seeking.

CWH — Who We Are and What We Do

Creative Work Hour is a co-working community, a creative incubator, and a daily HIVE-staking project. We have hosted more than 3000 events since founded by @alessandrawhite on 1 July, 2021. Every single day we host no fewer than three events.

The first, #cuppajoe is a casual hang out, a coffee break. The second, Creative Work Hour #cwh is our flagship event that powers up daily. The third, Practice Not Perfect #pnp is our bonus event designed for muted music practice and for creative work to continue.
