At the Mercy of the Blade.

I engaged the Jianghu Wanderer in a duel but was soundly defeated and taken hostage. While being transported toward the Blissful Retreat, I seized an opportunity to escape when the Wanderer became distracted. I sought refuge in the Ghost Temple, where I defeated a guarding wolf to claim loot before escaping.

I started battling this man upon knowing his name was Jianghu Wanderer. I took him lightly at first, thinking his casual attacks meant he lacked true skill. I drew my blade with confidence, unaware of the prowess he actually possessed.

Then I kind of lost the battle against him. He parried my strikes with a precision that left me completely exposed. It was a humbling moment as I realized I had underestimated my opponent.

Then my character tried to overwhelm the enemy with a desperate flurry of strikes, but he got a high kick and was thrown away. It looked like the air left his lungs as he hit the dirt.

Then the enemy drew his sword right on my character's head, and my character stayed quiet, knowing he was done for. But the enemy stopped just inches from the head. He looked down with a cold, calculating gaze rather than delivering the final blow.

Then Jianghu asked my character to take him to Blissful Retreat as he had something to talk about with Han. But my character did not want to lead a dangerous man to such a peaceful place. He refused, despite the blade still hovering near his throat.

As my character did not want to take Jianghu to this Blissful Retreat, he got tied up and was taken hostage. Jianghu was riding a horse towards his desired location, keeping me bound tightly.

Suddenly Jianghu noticed someone sneaking from afar, so he decided to get off the horse and check around. Taking this chance, my character planned to escape and go to the Ghost Temple.

After getting inside the Ghost Temple, I had to hide in the secret passage. I noticed there was loot in a chamber below that was guarded by a fearless wolf.

After getting down, the wolves started attacking me. But even swordsmen are not a good fit against me, let alone an animal. I took the beast down with a series of quick slashes and I collected the loot that it had been guarding.

Then I used the hole to get out of the passage and into the fresh air. It looked like I escaped the wrath of Jianghu after all, as the temple stood between us. I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing I was finally out of his immediate reach.

That's all for now.
