A protagonist who trains for 48 hours and becomes capable of taking down an enemy who has dedicated an entire life’s worth tof raining to their goals (yeah ok lmao)

Plot armour (eg., an exceptional skill we have never even heard of until that point gets unlocked or “this was all part of my plan” without any any any any hints or logic)

Forced romances between characters who are perfectly functional as friends/rivals etc.

‘strong female character’ (read: rude woman with a gimmick of a personality)

‘Special girl’ (read: the most basic bish you can ever come across but we’re supposed to pretend she is unique anyhow)

‘Morally grey man’ (read: an asshole who is nice to one person (perhaps) and uses his brain sometimes)

Underdeveloped found family bonds. Bonus if one of the family members die. Like, make me believe that something special was going on here.

Also, unnecessary deaths .
