What Does The Bible Say About Marrying Closed Relatives. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

Marriage is what should be handled with respect and honour. The Bible says that marriage is honourable above all and the bed undefiled. It is not biblical that close relatives should intermarry themselves. When God gave the children of Israel the ordinances which they should obey, he told them not to uncover the nakedness of their close relatives. They were not allowed to marry themselves.
Scientifically, it is more healthier to cross breed than to keep marrying one lineage. Marrying a single line of blood relations can cause generational sicknesses to multiply. Maybe such a trend can lead to physical weakness. So, intermarrying close relations is not a good thing.
Culturally, I have discovered that my people consider it a taboo for cousins or any kind of blood relations to marry themselves. It is not an accepted practice. We should not think in that direction. We should not have sexual intercourse with our blood relations. This is not an accepted practice in the Bible.
