Hi Hive

Come with me on a journey to a special little corner of the Earth steeped in mystery and magick.

The area is a lovely little nature spot called Dunino Den near St Andrews in Scotland.

(Pinmapple point....[//]:# (!pinmapple 56.286813 lat -2.744442 long dunino d3scr) )

A short walk past Dunino Church a graveyard leads down to a wooded area with a river running through it.

There is an ancient natural well at the top of the Den which is rumored to have been used in pre Christian times by the Druids as a sacrificial altar.

In the middle of the Den there stands the remains of an old tree where people come to leave offerings to the nature spirits and the fairies that are said to haunt the glen. This area is a hotspot for campers looking for a spooky overnight stay.

There are many offerings hanging from the trees and placed in the rocks. The area has a very spiritual feel to it.

The area is also noted for its well preserved examples of pre Christian art.

Most impressive of all the carvings is this face of a Celtic King.I like to believe its not a carving but is in fact the face of the Spirit of the rock)
