One of the biggest fights in crypto is coming up, and no one is seriously talking about it.

Bitcoin vs Ripple

There are bitcoin maxis and Ripple adherents. The XRP crowd talks about the god candle. The bitcoin folks talk about $100k. But what is weird is i have never heard XRP called the bitcoin killer. (and i could just be totally ignorant here)

What will it mean if these two become the juggernauts of the crypto world?

Million dollar bitcoin

The bitcoin crowd is speaking of

Ten thousand dollar XRP

The Ripple crowd is talking of

And nothing else will be near the tops of the charts.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is becoming the worlds Number One asset. You can prove you hold it. You pay nothing to store it. There is a limited number of them. It beats gold in everything but physicality and time on market.

Central banks are putting it on their balance sheets.
Countries are adopting it as money

Bitcoin looks like it is going places! Is this the rumored and wished for crypto adoption happening?

However, the only place where we can talk about regular people buying things with bitcoin is happening on the lightning network. Layer 2 and Layer 3 apps being discussed and developed.

XRP

Ripple has fought the SEC, and won. Sorta, but they still had to pay a lot. Just a few more days, and we will see if they are free and clear.

Barring that, Ripple has made agreements with a lot of central banks all around the world. From doing money transfers and currency swaps all over the world, to handling each country's/central bank's CBDCs.

If these agreements actually means something, like those central banks are actually going to use XRP, and not something like, Country X just wanted to see the Ripple brochure, then why is XRP still banging around between 50-60¢ ???

When XRP actually starts being used, i expect a huge jump in price.
(I should also add in "if" to these kinds of statements too)

Bitcoin vs Ripple

Why can't we just get along? Surely the market is big enough for both of them?

We haven't had competing currencies since before the Fed, so we really don't know what that is like. We are so used to winners and losers, that we look for who is going to come out on top.

Many cryptos are going to be gone soon. Cryptos that don't have a separate and distinct use case are going to be drying up.

But, what about XRP and bitcoin? Are they two separate use cases? Are, we as peace loving anarchists needing one or the other to win?

What if XRP actually becomes the bankster coin we have all been fearing would happen?

What if bitcoin is actually a CIA creation?

We are in very difficult times, and blockchain can be used for good or evil.

So, what is the likely scenarios?

  • Bitcoin is really decentralized - XRP is really the Fed in disguise out to truly control money.
  • The rich have already bought up bitcoin - XRP is just creating SWIFT for the rest of the world
  • The rich have already bought up bitcoin - XRP is the bankster master plan

The trouble is that we haven't even gotten to real money yet. There are still people who think gold is real money. It isn't. It lacks most of what is needed to be real money (we will figure this out over time) Thus, we are not making an intelligent decision for our future, we instead are blundering blindly through a path of trying various things.

XRP could be THE bankster coin, but in that, it will bring out the people, making them used to blockchain tech, and then having a desire for decentralized money, they move to bitcoin, or whatever is better at the time.

Bitcoin could be completely decentralized, but by the time people catch on to the fact that it is money, entire populations will be like sharing one bitcoin. The rich, the corporations, the black rocks already bought it all up. So, the 99% basically have one bitcoin between them, and that works just fine because it is infinitely divisible. It's ok, as long as no big fish comes and swallows up the entire market.

I wish i could report that one coin was good, and the other bad, but their isn't any evidence of that. Just speculations based on faulty or missing information.

XRP seems set on replacing moneygram/western union. Providing cross border / cross currencies money sending systems. Just moving this industry into the 20th century will be YUGE! Even if Ripple is evil, this will be a great benefit to the world.

Bitcoin keeps growing, and slowly working its way into every person's life. Its high price tag is simultaneously the best thing to onboard people into crypto, and the worst thing because they can't afford it no more.

Bitcoin is going to a million dollars per coin (and then the dollar falters, and is no longer a useful measuring stick)
XRP will probably go to $1000 per coin. Or it will go to zero as Ripple is destroyed through lawsuits and other govern-cement warfare programs.

Both will make people a lot of money (or, it stays aloft, as all the currencies crash)
But don't just park it and forget it. These will be quite dynamic in the future.

You will want to get out of bitcoin if you see fees going into thousands of dollars. Move it to lightning, or sell it to blackrock if that happens. There are people who have intent of making bitcoin a rich man's club.

Ripple will probably act nice for a long time, and then, the velvet gloves come off to reveal the iron grip of tyranny. You will really want to divest yourself of that position before that happens.

Cryptos are a learning experience for the planet.
