Claressa Shields training at the Jackson Wink gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico with former boxing and mma champion Holly Holm. Shields is putting focus on her weaker aspects of her game [such as kicks and wrestling] to accommodate the ferocious combination punching she carries.

Shields will become a dynamic striker in mixed martial arts and pose problems to most every fighter in that organization. the PFL may end up carrying two of the most elite women's lightweights into 2022 as both Kayla Harrison and Claressa Shields are gold medalists winning in the combat sports of both judo and boxing. It should be an interesting year for WMMA as the UFC may have to play catch up in terms of pure star power eventually...
