Raw cashew nut curry recipe is a delicious dish that is made widely in the Asian countries. Vegetable cashew nuts are used in cashew curry and are mostly served in weddings and parties. Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups wet cashew nuts (if not available, use unsalted, dried cashew nuts soaked in water for two hours.),
- 2 medium onions,
- 4 garlic cloves,
- 3 green chillies,
- 1 tsp garam masala,
- 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp / 2 Coke,
- 1/4 cup wet coconut,
- cilantro for garnish,
- salt,
- jaggery or sugar if you like,
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying,
- 1 teaspoon turmeric,
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida,
- 2 teaspoons mustard.
Steps to follow
If you are going to use wet cashews, soak them in hot water for a while, so that the skins will come off easily.
Peel a squash, grate it and wash it.
Finely chop the onion. Garlic cloves should be crushed. Chili should be chopped.
Heat oil in a pan or pan and add mustard seeds. Then add turmeric powder and asafoetida.
Add garlic and green chillies. Do not let the garlic turn red. Immediately add onion and fry till red.
Then add cashew nuts and add as much water as you want. Cover the cashews till they are cooked properly.
Now add hot spices, tamarind / kokum, salt, jaggery.
Add coconut and stir.
Sow cilantro on top and add wet cashew nuts along with pancake / bread or rice.
Garnish cilantro and serve hot.
