Nerdy Silver Scores!

I'm an unashamed nerd... nothing wrong with that, I'll never be the cool kid... and I like the things that I like, and I'm never going to hide it!
So, now that I've gotten more comfortable with dropping into the bullion and coin store, I'm sort of making it a little habit when I'm in one of the bigger cities with a bit of extra food money from the orchestras to spend. And so far, they have been pretty awesome... I drop by when it is really quiet, and they just pull out the buyback pre-owned stuff and let me rifle through it to find something that catches my fancy!
I was in to pick up 4 ounces of the buyback stuff... it is only just a touch above spot price, and if I'm allowed to search through the collection, then it gives me a chance to pick up something cool at the same time!
So, the first thing that caught my eye was this Robocop silver piece! Oh come on... who can turn down a Robocop piece! I remember watching it on Laserdisc ages and ages ago at a relative's place... and that reminds me, I probably should watch it again!
Anyway, it appears that this had a worldwide mintage of 5000 pieces... but it is a bit on the plain side... but ROBOCOP!

It is a Fiji coin, and it sort grinds me that it is a 50 cent face value... Australian one ounce pieces are one dollar... and 50 cents sounds like it should be the 1/2 ounce instead! But also a very plain design on this side... but ROBOCOP!

... and the other one (I'll feature the other two ounces later) is one of the Myth and Legends series from the UK, and I've been wanting to get hold one of these or one of the Queen's Beasts for ages and ages... and when I saw this Maid Marion in the box... it was a pull aside immediately to purchase!
I do like this design, crazily intricate, and really looks fine in person.

... and on the reverse, the only decent head that on a silver piece. The old Queen, I'm still not sold on the new King.. and most others look like ghouls. At a face value of 2 pounds, it does feel like it is a proper 1 ounce piece... weird that the face value can make us feel that!
