🎬️ TV series: The Spy (2019) 🎬️

This short series was really good, a drama thriller from 2019 directed by Gideon Raff. Here we meet Eli Cohen, played by
Sacha Baron Cohen, an Israeli clerk who is recruited by Mossad for a dangerous undercover mission in Syria in the 1960s. 😃

I loved this one! It starts off quietly, and I immediately thought of "Borat" when I saw the main character, but that's quickly forgotten. From episode 3 I was completely carried away by the intense and exciting story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The series is incredibly well-made and surprising, with strong acting performances that show a whole new side of Sacha Baron Cohen. There is also a little humor here and there that eases the pressure in an otherwise nerve-wracking plot. A great viewing experience that easily gets an 8 out of 10 from me.
