Hi everyone!
The rumours have been confirmed... we only have 10 days left to acquire the Reward Cards from the Glint store before the new Rebellion Reward card set is unleashed.
From that point we'll be able to purchase the cards we need.... for 180 days (half a year) and then once the market sells out they'll be impossible to get.
I know people are upset at the cost (55K to unbind a max legendary card - approximately $32 USD) which is about the same as an Immortalis card... but personally I think this just motivates me to really try my best to max out the Rebellion Reward set as quickly as possible.
Do I regret converting all my duplicates to Glint last season? Nah, I got about 100K glint out of the exercise to use to try and max out this set while its still available... and I honestly have no idea what the demand for additional Rebellion Reward cards will be like.
It's likely I'm going to have to buy some cards myself... this is where I'm at right now:

but I don't have much DEC spare, and I'm not making a lot from rentals, so I'm not sure how this is all going to go. Never boring in the ol Splinterlands that's for sure.

So happy to make it into Champs II and Diamond III. Champs II was a massive struggle, I nearly didn't make it.. I only had a couple of hours to go and hardly any energy but I managed to scrape in.
I used all my energy the entire season... so I played a ton of games - I'm honestly surprised I had a positive Win/Loss ratio because it felt like I was losing A LOT, but I'm definitely happy with the amount of Glint I managed to acquire.
I would really love to see Diamond II in Modern this current season... but we'll see. It might not be possible for me.

I think for the Rebellion Reward Cards I'm going to aim to always do one batch of legendary cards first to try and max those out as soon as I can... even though 250K glint is so expensive for Batch 1.

I'm still quite behind on Legendary cards (only just above 50%), so it makes sense to tackle those first (especially since they'll be the most expensive for people to unbind):

Alright! Pretty happy with that! This will let me max out Iziar...
So... what do I do now? I could potentially buy another legendary batch for 375K Glint... but that's so much Glint.
For a card like Aves Sturgis, I need 4 more legendary cards... that's 2000 power worth. That'll cost someone 20K DEC to unbind ($12) and then I'll have to buy them for more than $12 (the unbind cost plus the profit for the seller).
Overall I'm missing 54 legendary cards, which is 27,000 power, which is 270,000 DEC, which is at least $162 USD.
In terms of Epic cards, I'm missing 129 epic cards, which is 12,900 power, which is 129,000 DEC, which is at least $77 USD.... so you can see how important it is to max out the legendaries first.

That was weird... I wonder if the code broke? I've never seen them roll in in order like that before.
I might have made a mistake... I know have 2 extra Drybone Raiders that I don't need... and being the most common legendary, I'm not sure if there is going to be much demand for it, especially since legendaries might be around the same price (they'll all cost the same to unbind).

I think I'm probably not likely to max out the Chaos Legion Reward set... I don't think I'll be able to afford to before it all gets locked up again. It's not a huge drama though, you don't actually need every card at max level... sometimes it only gives 1 extra health or whatever, which is not as valuable as upgrading a different card that provides an extra ability.
I'll definitely keep an eye on the market... see if there is demand for the Drybone Raiders.
