Pixelart: Lurking Puffer

My Pixelart version of Lurking Puffer from the Splinterlands game. This reminds me of the venus flytrap, but an upgraded one. It releases some air or gas. Probably it is an attraction for the insects to come closer. Once the insect became attracted to the scent it will be grabbed and trapped by the lurking puffer.

I hide the base to easily focus on creating the leaves.
Adding details on its base which looks like a tree with red roots.
Adding the openings that releases some gas.

Coloring the character.
Adding colors and shading on the leaves.
Coloring the thorns.
Coloring the openings of the puffer. Then coloring the inside with three different shades to achieve the glowing effect.
Coloring the base and roots.
Changed the color of the background and also added some details like tall trees or bamboos. I tried using the gradient effect to make it more dramatic. However, the gradient tool does not work well. I am not sure if it is a bug or a new update from the app.
Creating the formation of the gas.
Created different position and formation of the gas to make it move for the animation part.
