Relationships are tricky, and we sometimes stumble into miscommunication and prejudice. I have been for a while in search of someone to share a bit of me without any judgement of what I am or what my thoughts are. I am not in an active search, but I would say more like in need of that. I always thought that I would have that at home, but in the end, after a decade, I don't feel like that, so many people told me: You need a friend.

_{Lunch time during work usually is a way to meet your co-workers,but also you face some boundaries.[Free-for-use in FreePik]}

In my previous workplace,e I had a friend there;e, we used to talk about anything. Things that happened at work, or even in our personal lives. It was a good escape. Here I have been working for 5 years, and all my co-workers are very private in their own ways. But there is this new co-worker, a bit younger than me, who joined recently. We started chatting about regular things like food, culture, even anime, and I started to get a bit more loose and reduce the filter, let's say.

So my need of getting a person to listen to me anything without filter is challenging and in this case a sentence in the wrong time just was interpreted maybe as a not appropriate and the person just blocked. At first I didn't understand much, but after some AI help to analyze our chats, we found that one sentence could be interpreted as a bit "flirty". Well, I asked the person directly and confirmed that they didn't like what I said much. What could I do? I followed some advice from AI. Asked sorry for doing that and made the person uncomfortable. Also gave an apology and just stepped back.

It's been a week since the conversation, and maybe we will start talking like before, or maybe never. In the end, I missed an opportunity to be heard finally, or maybe this person wasn't ready yet. One day perhaps I will find again someone that start listening to me again. It is a bit sad because even after the episode in the regular lunch, we are talking about random things in the group, and it's crazy that we share so many things in common. But right now I can't do anything except give the necessary space and just act regularly without taking new initiative in this relationship.

Despite the sadness, I need to keep moving forward, sad that this opportunity to have someone to chat with is probably gone. Work environment is tough to find someone to chat with, since most of the people just want to do their stuff and that's it. But let's see what life brings.

_{O horário do almoço durante o trabalho costuma ser uma oportunidade para conhecer melhor os colegas, mas também é quando nos deparamos com certos limites.[Uso gratuito no FreePik]}

Também me desculpei e simplesmente recuei.
