Guptillchallendge. Draw with ink. Chapters 18-19

I continue to learn to draw and use the book by Arthur Gaptill “Rendering in Pen and Ink”.
We move to larger buildings. What you need to remember and know:
1️⃣ The point of view - the further we are from the building, the easier it is to draw it, because there are vanishing points - the closer they are - the sharper the top of the building; Perspective!
2️⃣ The horizon line - we are used to drawing it at eye level, but when drawing tall buildings - it’s better to move the horizon line to 1/3 or 2/3 of its height (depending on what interests us more: roof or base); 3️⃣ Pre-planning - the larger the building - the more carefully you have to approach the selection of dark and light spots in the work;
4️⃣ Elements of the environment - I prefer to include cars and people in the drawing;
5️⃣ Balancing the light and dark areas - the light area attracts more attention, if there is a dark contrast around it.
The main architectural part of the marathon we finished and now go to the interior. 19 chapter.
Things to remember:
1️⃣ The main thing in the interior - the details. Notice how boring the first sketch is, and how in the second the pictures and flowers complement the sketch.
2️⃣ Light and shadow. In the interior, the light falls from several light sources, which creates a complex shadow pattern.
3️⃣ Features of materials. In the interior it is very important to show the material from which these or other objects are made.
4️⃣ Perspective. As in architecture, there can be frontal and angular, the only difference is in the distance to objects.
I have only one chapter left to go through! I am so glad that my marathon is coming to an end))) Soon!
All my paintings can be bought for sbd/steem
Thank you for watching!
