Daily Grind #58: I Got Marshwalker to 13/13

Greetings!

Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs. Last night I began my Weekend Ranked with three wins in a row and ended up winning four in my first five matches. But then came the norm, when I went into a winning streak the losing streak followed (it is what I observed). Thankfully I found my winning ways again by manhandling a pesky Control Ceception deck.

In that win, I was able to buff one of my Marshwalkers to 13/13 (it is still thin compared to the 23/23 that I achieved a few days ago). But the 13/13 Marshwalker is still able to subdue a pesky Control Deception deck and I end up winning 6 out of 10 matches.

Featured Match

In this featured match I was up against a formidable Control Deception deck. It is a good thing that I was able to buff Marshwalker and my opponent was not able to use Umber Arrow to control it until it got fat to 13/13.

God Power: Flourish

Mulligan

In the mulligan, I tried hard to find Canopy Barrage in anticipation of ordered cards but I was not able to find any of the two. Instead, I got two Vanguard Axewoman and Guerilla. On the first turn, I drew Sudden Bloom.

1 Mana

I went first, I played Vanguard Axewoman, and my opponent killed it with Piercing Bolt.

2 Mana

I played Vanguard Axewoman, my opponent played Sleep Dart and gave sleep of my Vanguard Axewoman and gave it burn +3. My opponent plays Deuteria, Manashard Mage.

3 Mana

I played Moonlight Charm, and my opponent played. My opponent played Candy Chain.

4 Mana

I played Marshwalker and buffed it with Moonlight Charm and I further buffed it with Guerilla Training and with Flourish. My opponent used his good power (Thievery). My opponent uses Stoneskin Poison on my 4/7 Marshwalker.

5 Mana

I buffed Marshwalker with Moonlight Charm and made it 6/9 and I gave it +1 regen using Flourish. I used Lightning Strike to kill Deuteria.j My opponent played Guild Enforcer. My opponent played Precarion and put sleep on my Marshwalker.

5.1 Mana

I buffed my Marshwalker using Moonlight Charm and made it 9/12. I played Vanir Lion and I made Marshwalker to 11/12. My opponent played New Growth. My opponent played Inconspicious Carriage, my opponent went face.

6 Mana

I plated Faefame Blade. I attacked Inconspicious Carriage with Faefame Blade. I killed Insconspicious Carriage with Vanir Lion. I killed Guild Enforcer with Marshwalker. I killed Precarion with Faefame Blade. I got Valka's Discovery at the Sanctum. I played Black Jaguar. My opponent played 3/3 Deuteria. My opponent used his god power. My opponent played Untamed Regrowth.

6.1 Mana

I went face using Faefame Blade for "frenzied". I played Sudden Bloom and buffed Vanir Lion to 8/6 and Twin Strike. I killed Deuteria with Vanir Lion. I went face with Marshwalker, Black Jaguar, and Vanir Lion, and it is GG.
