Football season is just around the corner!!! Kicking off my top ten in my NFL Power Rankings are the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys have been a pretty solid team in my lifetime. Even though they have not been winning a ton of Championships as they did in the 90's, they've still been a pretty competitive team overall, making the playoffs with semi-regularity.

The Cowboys made the playoffs the past two seasons in a row, which is the first time they've made the playoffs in consecutive seasons since 2006 and 2007. If they make the playoffs a third consecutive time in 2023, it will be the first time since the 90's they made the playoffs in three straight seasons.

The Cowboys have QB Dak Prescott, whose my #10 rated QB and the Cowboys were a top ten team on both offense and defense. They have a solid coach in Mike McCarthy who is not amazing, but solid enough.

The Cowboys just need to keep doing what they're doing and compete and develop their players. The good and potentially bad thing about the Cowboys is they're pretty solid on most areas in general, but I don't know if they're truly great in a single area. They do have some great players on defense I like a lot, like Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs. If those two can level up even MORE, then the Cowboys might just be able to make the big step.

The Eagles are going to have a big bull's eye on their backs, the Cowboys might just be able to stay under the radar (as much as the Cowboys can) a little and maybe make a deep run in 2023.
