I Made A Transition Hook

SOCIAL MEDIA & SHORT ATTENTION SPANS

This product is going viral on social media right now. It's an electronic tyre pump. It's not just for tyres, however, but also for balls and other inflatables. It probably has a volume limit determined by how long the battery lasts. I wonder if one could used it plugged into a power outlet via usb. Then then another limit might emerge - perhaps overheating or something else. Anyway that's a video idea for another day.

To demonstrate it, and to hopefully sell some via affiliate link of course, I made a cheeky social media style commercial for it haha.

I have this 25 year old basketball that's been flat for decades. I finally pump it back to full pressure using this new electronic pump from TikTok shop. It's also available in the usual places: Amazon, Temu, etc.

Social media has become so ephemeral and people have such short attention spans now that you have to do something drastic in the first few seconds of a video to "hook" them in. If this doesn't happen in the first 2-3 seconds, they're gone. That's because that's how long it takes to swipe on; up or down, and away from your video depending on the platform. A lot of creators have been using transition hooks like the one I used in this video. It's my first attempt so it's not so smooth haha.

Peace & Love,

Adé
