Why Not Buy It With Bitcoin...

It's been a while since I checked the google trends for the Bitcoin search term, but I'm sure it's rocking high keeping up with the price. I did search for Bitcoin today on an adds app that we have in Romania and was surprised to see how much stuff is being sold for Bitcoin.
The ex communist country is keeping the pace with technology and folks all over the country are accepting cryptocurrencies as alternative payments.
The first item sold for BTC, aside from a mining rig which is somehow obvious to be sold for crypto, is an Egyptian statue. An overpriced one I'd say. Over $2,000 is the owner asking for it and he's accepting BTC payments as well.

Next thing that caught my attention was a Samsung Galaxy S8 sold for around $200, the owner accepting BTC as well. The model is quite old, although mine is older, but the seller accepts crypto as a payment and that's cool.
The list doesn't stop here, a matter of fact it has just started. There's someone selling a DSLR, Nikon D7100 for roughly $600 and Bitcoin is accepted here as well. I'm selling my camera as well after finally getting bored of having it dust on a shelf and thought I should put in the add that I accept crypto payments as well.
A pair of Ray Ban glasses and a 2014 BMW 530XD can be bought with crypto as well. The glasses are valued at a bit over $100 and the car is somewhere around $25,000. Both sellers accept crypto and not just Bitcoin, the one selling the BMW being clearly a connoisseur of the industry as he added DOGE and ELGO as well.
Next on the list is a 4 bedroom apartment in Sibiu, one of the best cities in Romania, that's being sold for around $100,000 and the owner accepts... you guessed it, Bitcoin and other form of crypto.

There are quite many adds where sellers are willing to sell their stuff for crypto, a Mont Blanc set of pens for example, a few pieces of land and quite a few cars included, but what caught my attention was a USB stick that mines Bitcoin for you. A ASICMiner Block Erupter. I didn't know that you can do that with a $30 USB stick 😁.
I haven't yet bought anything online with crypto, but once the volcano will be blown, and prices start heading towards bear territory I would buy myself a car using crypto. Nothing fancy, but would for sure accept the convenience of using crypto for payments rather than cash or bank transfers. I hate banks and said that hundreds of times on my blog already.
I am still eager to see how real life merchants will introduce crypto as forms of payments and that's when the true disruption for banks will occur. When we'll be able to earn crypto and spend it around on daily stuff, it's when the control of banks and corrupt governments over us will be almost completely abolished.
Financially we could still be tied to real state and other stuff like cars that you have to pay taxes for and go through the corrupt system, but gradually means of circumventing the banking system emerge and that's when we realize how fragile the banking system is becoming and what potential lies in crypto.
Satoshi Nakamoto couldn't have been designed it better. I really wish I knew the guy, back in 2009 of course.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
